During this event, participants will be introduced to the newly published book Indigenous Management Knowledges and Frameworks, which explores how Indigenous perspectives, knowledges, and frameworks can contribute to management research and education.
15:00–15:05 | Welcome and Introduction: Introduction to the book and its aims by Stephen Cummings, The University of Sydney Business School, Australia.
15.05-15.10 | Introductory remarks from Anna Thomasson, CBS Dean of Education
15:10–15:40 | Meet the Authors: Contributing authors based at CBS and elsewhere in Denmark will introduce selected chapters from the book.
15:40–15:50 | From the Book to the Classroom and Training: Short comments and reflections on how Indigenous perspectives and the book can be incorporated into teaching and training activities.
Speakers:
15:50–16:05 | Reflections and Open Discussion: open reflections on the potential impact of indigenous knowledge in business schools
The discussion will explore questions such as:
How might Indigenous perspectives and knowledges challenge, complement, or broaden the ways we approach management research, education, and training?
The session will also consider opportunities and challenges associated with engaging with Indigenous knowledges in teaching and academic practice.
16:05–16:30 | Refreshments and Informal Conversation: The formal programme will conclude with refreshments and an opportunity to continue the conversation with the authors, contributors, and other participants.
